  • What markets are you operating in?
  • What services or products are you taking to those markets?
  • Do you want to grow the business?
  • What impact are you having on your community?
  • What impact are you having on your customers or the world?
  • What do you want the business to contribute to the world?

Vision for leadership & culture

Some prompting questions we use to help you think about this:

  • What does it feel like to work here?
  • What are the people who work here saying about the business?
  • How many people are in the business?
  • What are the opportunities for people to grow and develop?
  • How are you building leadership skills in the business?
  • In what roles do you think you best serve the business?
  • What is the approach to leadership in the business?

Vision for financial security

Some prompting questions we use to help you think about this:

  • What capital do you need and how will you access it?
  • What is your appetite for risk?
  • What are your thoughts on future ownership?
  • Are you looking to sell, float or handover?
  • What sort of financial return do you want?
  • Do you want ownership when you are no longer working in the business?

Vision for organisation design

Some prompting questions to help you think about this:

  • What do your business systems and processes look like?
    • How well documented are they?
  • How is your business designed to deliver to your customers?
  • How is your business designed to support your people?
